Light Box and Lotion Sample Day

Today's projects include making a light box and formulating several batches of lotion.

There are a number of easy to follow instructions on the internet for making light boxes. If you need a place to photograph products or crafts, these boxes are an inexpensive route to take.

I bottled up 1 oz. lotion samples in the shop earlier today. With the shipment of each order I enclose a sample. The samples formerly were soaps only. Now I will be including either a lotion or a soap, and I hope to be able to give customers the option of their choice in the near future!

Our snow is completely gone now! The sun is shining again today. It sure does make the spring fever worse. The only remedy to that one is spring! I received several garden, flower, and pond related catalogs in the mail yesterday. I think Bob and I made a good dent in the pages already!

It's a lovely day today too! Good info. Mary. I was enjoying the day by moving a buck in with a doe for a lady that lives down the road from us and taking pictures of the two of them, the icesicles are gone now which this kind of day makes for avalanches since we have metal roofs it just slides as you know and the sun was out but now its hiding, still have plenty of snow in our valley, LOL!

Good luck with making the light box! I'd like to persuade dh to make one for me; I'm not handy with tools. :}

Thank you for coming by my blog today!

First I want to tell you that I filled the tub up an bathed in lavender this morning. Oh my goodness! Best bath I ever had in my life. Then I slathered on the lavender lotion and felt so pretty. Thank you, Mary, and all you lil gals who provide you with the ingredients for your wonderful soaps and lotions.

Next I want to tell you that the last few nights it's been in the teens here (Florida). We've had to run the pool pump at night for a week and there has been frost on the lawn in the mornings. This morning was no exception - it was freezing. Then this afternoon it got so warm I had to start peeling off my clothes. Even a long sleeved cotton shirt was too hot. And that is why we get pneumonia so easily this time of year!

Ya'll stay warm!

Teresa, thank you for your visit! We have the box built, now I have to figure out all of the settings to make it look right. Hope you get your light box made too!

Alix, I am glad you liked the lavender soap and lotion!

My husband surprised me today. This is a first! He asked me to go out to the shop and bring an unscented lotion in for him. He said his dry elbows are already better. It is about time! :)

Oh, I NEED a light box, will have to ask OH really nice :)
Why are men so reluctant to use our lovely products?? They don't know what they're missing!

Corrie, the man scratches, itches, digs into his skin in the winter months. He insists on Zest soap and commercial unscented lotion. I may have him over the lotion hurdle. I told him that he needs to use my soap. He will tell anyone his faith in our own products, but he does not use them himself. Unlike us. Who knows what they are thinking? LOL!!!

Thanks, Kathy!

One thing, if you make a light box, make one wide enough. I may need to go back and have him make a larger one too.
