Winter Storm Warning Soap

Now, my friends, are you looking at this soap and saying, "Yuck...what in the world is that?" So am I!

I headed into the shop today with a scent on my mind. I knew how I was going to obtain it, and I got it. It was one of those wake up at 2:00 A.M., with something in the head, that just would not go away until it is tried sort of things. I like it.

The color is near what I was shooting for. We will know more tomorrow when I cut the log.

What I truly like about batches like this one is, it isn't quite what I sought after, but I accidentally found something that I really like. Everything goes down on paper when I am in one of these moods. If it doesn't, I cannot create it the second time. That is the fun of this, we can tag it a true artisan project.

Anyhow, for now, this is Winter Storm Warning Soap. Later I will tell more about it. I first have to decide what it smells like. Who knows, I may name this soap after someone that I know. Can you imagine, an Annie's Goat Hill soap named after you?

Now my husband will truly think the nutty formulator has gone mad! :)

More on this tomorrow...

I vote for "Alixandra's Special Winter Storm Warning Soap." That so sounds like me and it kinda has a ring to it - don't you think?

I love the swirly texture and camouflage colors. Very unique!

A soap masterpiece, I say.

It looks like pudding, LOL! I get those things but mine is usually with knitting though or some kind of crafty thing, LOL.

I love the big swirls. I can't wait to see what the inside looks like!

Hey there!

I love to sneak out to the shop and see what is happening, to see the gradual changing of colors as the initial stage runs its course. An hour ago I saw the beginnings of lavender, the color I was hoping to blend.

Yes, tomorrow we shall see what is inside. :)

Double yuck! Triple, even!

That peach mess turned out to be teal-colored. I wonder what color this stuff will turn into?

I am hoping this "mess" turns out white with lilac streaks. We shall see.

Billy-Robert, I shared this particular pic with my sister, via email. She thought it was pretty gross too! Glad you enjoyed, Maryat. :)

I too thought it looked pretty! I wonder, does it smell like lavender?

Hello...no, not lavender. I mixed some scents and now I have to decide what it resembles. I like it though.
