Goat Milk Soap Today

Today I cut several batches of soap that I made yesterday.

This batch of goat milk soap is scented with a combination of pineapple, tangerine and pink grapefruit. I will announce the name of the soap and other information closer to the curing date (approximately 4 weeks from today). In case you cannot see the colors, they are pale pink and yellow. Very pretty, and smells luscious!

I worked in the shop and office afterwards. With pad of paper and pen in hand, updated the list of things to-do. I will be organizing that into a top priority, medium priority, and wish list. It has to be done now and then. We can definitely lose site of the big picture when we do not organize our thoughts!

Have a good afternoon!

Save me 4 bars of pineapple, tangerine & pink grapefruit please.

I got my Alixandria's Tea Cake order yesterday in plenty of time for Mother's Day. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I sure like all the colors and layers of those soaps. Have you done some layering Mary?

The soap looks quite artsy and you sound very organized!

Alix, your pineapple, tangerine and pink grapefruit soap is on hold now, until cured. I knew you would like that batch!

Joanna, I have seen that person's work before. She does a beautiful job. That type of layering is generally done with a type of soap making called melt and pour, very much different from what I do. Generally the goat milk is not from fresh, and the ingredients are sometimes already included in the soap itself. Lovely soap, isn't it?

I try to be, Jeannelle. I got that attribute from the days of sifting through long lists at a desk. Thank you!

Ha ha, I'm always making lists. I think it does help though. Your soap looks wonderful. Will watch out for how to buy, etc.

Do you find the scent of your soap-making follows and clings to you? How lovely if it does. It must make your heart glad to walk into your shop and have the fragrance hit you as you open the door,

Thank you, Amy!

BT, I sell through the website (listed on the header of the blog). I need to put a different link on this blog, user friendly, one that works as a "click here" type of thing. About the lists, my husband and I keep lists going, otherwise the old minds just forget! Actually, it helps to relieve the pressure of having to remember. :)

Kathy, the scent does follow. But I'll also tell you, even though my shop is well insulated. When you walk by that door, or by an outside wall, I can smell the recently made soaps. I love it. And yes, when I open the door to the shop, the sense of happiness and wanting to craft takes over!

Yep, I got me one of those "carry around with me, to do list" thingys.
If I don't write things down, I forget about them when I move on to the next task.

Oh those soapbars look great. Never heard of goatmilk soap before. I can imagine it will be wonderful though.

I popped over from Rhymeswithplague who mentioned us all.
Nice to meet you ;-)
